Dot & Ruby's Helping Hands Food Pantry is a ministry that provides emergency food to the hungry in Belle Glade every Friday, starting at 8:00 am. at the loading ramp. They serve an average of over 1700 individuals per month. Any assistance and talent is welcome and very appreciated. more

 

The Glades Initiative Weekly Office Cleaning

We would welcome volunteers willing to assist with office cleaning such as sweeping and mopping floors, cleaning bathrooms, emptying garbage, cleaning windows, picking up trash outside, sweeping sidewalks, etc. Also any assistance with minor office repairs would be appreciated such as painting, sanding and wall repairs, fixing molding, changing light bulb fixtures, etc. 

 

Glades Area Pantry - Volunteers Needed in Pahokee

Landscape Maintenance at the Glades Initiative

This last summer we had a wonderful group of volunteer teens redo our landscaping outside our office. Unfortunately, it is frequently overcome with weeds and needs constant upkeep. We welcome anyone or any groups who can offer assistance in weeding our landscaping. more

 

New Birth Deliverance Baptist Church Food Pantry, Belle Glade

New Birth Deliverance Baptist Church, at 1650 S. Main Street, Belle Glade (the White and Purple/Pink church on the corner across from Glades Ice) delivers food to the needy on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month. They are in need of volunteers on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays and Wednesday of the month to assist with sorting food supplies, making up food bags, organizing the food pantry, etc.
